KARATE BEGINS AND ENDS WITH A BOW

Karate is one of many programs offered by the The Washington County Recreation Department. The Recreation Department was established so individuals across Washington County could enjoy affordable recreation and fitness classes. They take living a healthy lifestyle very seriously, which is why they strive to offer a wide range of programs for both youth and adults. Getting and staying in shape should be fun, not something that is dreaded and makes you miserable. All their instructors are highly trained so you can obtain the best possible outcomes.

Robert O’Brien is the lead instructor for the karate program and holds ISKF Instructor and Examiner Certifications.

Schedule

Classes are held at the Ruth Ann Monroe Primary School, located at:
1311 Yale Drive, Hagerstown, MD.
Entrance to the gymnasium is at the rear of building.

New Students

Welcome to our Dojo (school). Our aim is to make sure every student feels at home so they can fully participate in class.

When you arrive for your first class, please go to the administration table so we can meet and get you checked in. Please wear a white t-shirt and dark shorts or sweatpants. Orders for karate uniforms will be taken the first week of class.
